Basic broiled salmon with lemon

  • 1 salmon fillet about 2 pounds
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper


  • Combine oil, rind, juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a shallow dish.
  • Spread mixture over fish and let stand 15 minutes
  • Set your broiler to high and let warm-up with the rack 6" from the element
  • Lightly oil your pan and place your salmon skin side down
  • Place in oven and cook for 6-8 minutes depending on thickness
  • Remove from oven and serve
