Lemon Butter Sauce

A quick and easy pan sauce that is perfect for salmon or other fish, that is ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to turn a light golden brown color and smells nutty, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for another minute or so, until the mixture is hot and bubbly.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and let the sauce cool for a minute or two.
  4. Spoon the sauce over your cooked salmon and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

Optional: You can also add some minced garlic or chopped herbs like parsley or dill to the sauce for extra flavor.
